Dr Promil Pande
Founder and Executive Director

Promil is the Founder and Executive Director of TSF. She has been working in the field of textiles and handicrafts for over three decades designing fabrics through weave and surface explorations for a variety of lifestyle products. She has a PhD in Design from Ansal University, a dual Masters in Fine Arts and Textile Design Technology from Moscow Textiles Institute along with an Executive MBA from the Scuola di Direzione Aziendale (SDA) Bocconi University, Milan. Products designed by her are exported to several countries and in India she supplied various products to Fabindia for 10 years. She has worked closely on developmental projects with the Ministry of Textiles and UNDP. Promil is passionate about indigenous craft and design practices, skill generation and sustainability.

Mukul Kishore Pande, Chief Eng
Co-Founder and Director

Mukul is the Co-Founder and Director of TSF. He is a Marine Engineer with nearly four decades of progressive experience in consultancy for new naval acquisitions/ shipbuilding supervision, oil tanker operations, marine maintenance and marine personnel management. He graduated from the Directorate of Marine Engineering Training (DMET), Kolkata and has 27 years of sailing under his belt, out of which he sailed for 17 years as a Chief Engineer on various types of Seagoing Vessels. He has also lent his expertise as an Educator and Consultant to several Marine Institutes. Mukul brings to TSF his invaluable experience in executive administration, management, project planning and supervision.

Rupinder Singh Bora
Trustee and Treasurer

Rupinder is a Trustee and Treasurer of TSF. He has more than two decades of experience of working with organisations to achieve their goals and targets through documentation, monitoring, case studies and rural marketing of local products and services. He has worked as a District Sericulture Coordinator for Dehradun district in the Diversified Support Project sponsored by World Bank, Project Manager in STEP Project sponsored by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Nodal Officer in Dehradun for Rashtriya Mahila Kosh and has also worked as a Cluster Consultant for Cluster Development Executive for Handloom Cluster of Imlikhera, Vikashnagar and Kalsi, Dehradun sponsored by NABARD and Directorate of Industries. He has eight years of experience in bee-keeping and is passionate about sustainable and rural development.

Nalin Sharma
Head of Communications and Publishing

Nalin is the Head of Communications and Publishing at TSF. He has been working in the field of media and communications sector for over three decades and has gained a wealth of meaningful and significant experience in books and magazine planning, production and its promotion through media and new media. Nalin did his graduation from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University and PGD in Journalism from YMCA, New Delhi. Has worked with WWF-India, Orient Paperbacks and Vision Books, New Delhi. At present, Nalin is also working as a consultant to various leading publishing houses. He is passionate about reading, conservation and development.
