Sid-hast, literally translates to ‘skilled-hand’. The Sidhast Foundation (TSF) has been working towards the preservation and evolution of the rich history of Indian craft traditions. Our social initiatives are aimed at the artisans and crafts people of India in order to continue their work in a gainful and unadulterated manner. Sidhast was launched to promote handcrafted apparel and lifestyle products created by artisans from across the country. Enhancing self-confidence and dignity of the artisan communities in order for continuity of craft traditions and practices, lies at the very heart of our ethos.

As a brand, Sidhast constituted clothing, home décor products and accessories. Previously, the Sidhast Showroom and Studio have housed a range of products from apparel, jewellery, home furnishings to artisanal handicrafts depicting the transcendent beauty that is intimately relevant to the cultural fabric of our country.

Since 2020, TSF has expanded its vision to include other social and community initiatives that focus on women’s rights, reproductive health and menstrual hygiene, promote gender equality, support mental health and de-addiction programmes and skill generation. TSF is happy to add to its repertoire – skills for enhancement of knowledge by promoting research, informing policy and disseminating scholarship.
